Easy Tuna Mac

1 box Kraft Thick & Creamy Mac and Cheese, or shells and cheese
carrots, chopped
Celery, chopped
Fresh green beans, cut up; or a can of green beans, drained
Sweet peas (if desired, about 1/2 cup)
Broccoli florets (if desired)
Extra cheese (grated cheddar, or American cheese)
1 or 2 cans solid white albacore tuna, drained
Sour cream or plain yogurt

Boil a medium-large pot of water, at least 6-8 cups. Put in carrots, celery, and macaroni. cook until half done, then add broccoli and peas of you are using them. Drain noodles and vegetables when done, and prepare macaroni cheese as per directions on the box. You can add some grated cheddar, a slice of American cheese, or a few chunks or Velveeta or other American cheese product if you want extra cheese. Crumble tuna into mixture, add a few dollops of sour cream, and mix thoroughly.

Good served with Ritz crackers.

* * * Quick and simple meal to make when you are in a pinch. My kids love this and it is usually the first thing they suggest if I ask them what they want for dinner. Ozric can make this by himself at 9 years old, with a little help cutting the carrots, opening the cans, and draining the boiling water. I need to invest in a left-handed can-opener for him. Do not use the regular Kraft Mac, or the fun-shapes, they do not have enough cheese sauce for this meal, and the noodles tend to break apart with the extra ingredients and mixing required.
